Our Process

Information Design

The design process that we use at Imagery Studio is very straight forward. Above all, we want to listen and learn everything we can about what our clients do. We also like asking our clients to give us examples of both what they like about design and also what they don't like. This gives us a good starting point for research when beginning a design project.

After reviewing our notes and research with our clients, we will start to create preliminary sketches and flowcharts of the information that will be presented in the final design and interface. This provides a simple, yet highly effective way to see if the flow of information will be easy to navigate and access.

At times we will also create workable and "clickable" wireframes for multiple page interactive content. For animation projects, we will also create storyboards and simple animatics to assure the proper flow of story and message to be communicated.

Visual Design

Once the layout and organization of our clients content is set, we will then proceed to designing visual mock-ups of the design. In this phase we're creating the look and feel to the tools that visiters will use to interact and access content.

When a design solution is reached and approved by our clients, we then start the production or "build" phase of the project.

This is where the design will be produced into a working interface. If the project uses motion graphics and animation, these will also be refined and polished.

Before final delivery of the design project to our client, we test the designs in a way that people will initially be using the design.

Websites are tested on multiple operating systems and devices. Animations are optimized for web delivery to ensure the best possible performance.

Each project is unique and has it's own set of unique design solutions. It's our job to put our client's vision into reality.

Key components to our design philosophy are:

  • Acquire a good understanding and knowledge of what our customers do.
  • Acquire the understanding of what our customers need the project to do.
  • Create the best possible design solution for our customers.
